Key Responsibilities

As an intern in the Web Services team, you will work on features and new applications that are a part of our engineering and business systems. There are numerous opportunities to add value and gain valuable experience. 
This is an opportunity to work on real space technology projects and contribute to missions that are literally reaching for the stars. 
Web Application Database Schema Design 
Back-end Web Applications 
Front-end Web Applications 
Web Based User Interfaces 
Machine-to-machine services 
Develop software and unit tests according to bug-fix and feature requests 
Participate in review of source code merge requests 
Participate in scrum activities (e.g., stand-up, retrospectives, sprint planning) 
Keep tickets up to date regarding work in progress 
Collaborate with engineers and team members across multiple departments 
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas 

Required Skills & Abilities

Enrolled and progressing in a programme towards a Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar 
TypeScript/JavaScript development experience 
Experience with MVC frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.) 
A team player with a positive attitude 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team 
Passion for aerospace, space technology, and innovation 
Node.js experience 
Experience with clean code principles, patterns and practices 
Experience with Git or similar source code management tools 
Experience with Linux development environments 
Experience with Jira or similar issue trackers 
Experience with agile scrum methodologies 
Previous internship or project experience in web development 

Qualifications

Education: Vocational / Technical Certificate / Diploma
