Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, maintain, install, and repair mechanical, electrical, fibre network ,and ancillary systems to ensure reliable operation.
Troubleshooting & Fault Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, applying practical solutions and escalating when necessary.
Deployment & Commissioning Support:
Assist with installations of equipment, modifications, and setup under the direction of the site manager.
Support HyperCube fluid handling (fill/drain) and load bank installation/removal during commissioning.
Assist with network cabling and integration.
Support site teams during commissioning, testing, and equipment setup.
Operations & Site Management: Perform basic fault-finding, reset circuits/pumps, remove and repair faulty equipment, maintain site cleanliness, and comply with OHS requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely updates and technical support to project and operations teams, ensuring smooth collaboration.
Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate service records, equipment logs, and submit required documentation promptly.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain PPE, first aid kits, and eyewash stations.
Training & Development: Stay current on equipment, processes, and industry standards through ongoing learning.
Inventory & Quality Control: Maintain tools, spare parts, and equipment inventory; conduct quality checks post-maintenance or repair.

 

Required Skills & Abilities

Familiarity with fibre hygiene and testing fibre networks.
Familiarity with data centre apparatus is a plus.
Diploma or equivalent, technical certification, trade qualification.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and repair.
Good problem-solving and communication skills. Proven to be able to work effectively under direction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as this position is part of a 24/7 operating roster.
Must hold an unrestricted driver’s license.
Electrical license (for electrical staff only).

Qualifications

Experience: 3 years experience
Education: Vocational / Technical Certificate / Diploma
