Diesel Mechanic

Janus Electric is revolutionising heavy transport by converting diesel trucks to electric and building a national swappable battery network. We are scaling fast and need a skilled, detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to help bring our next generation of zero-emission trucks to life at our Central Coast facility.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic, who will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and dismantling equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications, mechanically fitting components for sub-assemblies of electric vehicles and associated equipment.

Assemble components and equipment using hand and power tools according to engineering specifications.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time taken for each job.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Completion of a Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining).
Previous experience in a similar position within the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in assembly techniques, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work well within a team, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
